qTranslate, writing posts in several languages
Tuesday December 2nd, 2008. 04:03 AM. [About the blog]. No Comments.
This blog has been created with Wordpress 2.6.5, one of the most popular platforms for create blogs nowadays. One of their features since version 2.3 is the possibility of add different widgets, so it makes easier to customize your sidebar.
The widget qTranslate has solved one of the problems that has puzzled me: How to write a blog in both languages, spanish and english. qTranslate offer a very elegant solution, putting a simple button with flag in the sidebar, so you can switch languages easily. Of course, you can set up the widget with the languages that you desire and add new ones, customizing the date format even. For example, in Spain the normal costume it’s to put first the day instead of the month. 31/11/08

EDIT.
I’ve installed the new Wordpress 2.7, and still there is not a compatible final version of qTranslate, so I’ve installed the development version of qTranslate 2.0b. The author says that soon will be released a final version.2.0b.
