LIDL Cola - Hans von Blumenstock

I found yesterday in the postbox a really silly advertisement of Lidl. By the way, here in Finland normally you get the post in your own door when you are living in a flat. And still it’s scary for me sometimes when the postman throws into the apartment the papers/advertisement through the postbox… specially the guy who deliver these free newspapers at 5 in the morning ¿who is making noise in the entrance? In Spain we have postbox in the hall of the building (flat).

Let’s go to the point: Really silly this parody low-budget advertisement of Lidl: It seems they invented a name “Hans von Blumenstock”, like it will be the name of a famous basketball player, who has a german accent and horrible mustache. #23 in reference to Michael Jordan ¿and Roger Federer hairstyle?. And they mix the Nike and Adidas slogans:
“Just Do It”
+ “Impossible is Nothing”
—————————————————-
LIDL: “Just Drink it, because nothing is impossible.”
So bad commercial that I don’t know whether to laugh or cry.
They make some web/IRC stuff (Finnish) and just when I was writing this, I see that they are broadcasting also a spot in TV. In LIDL webpage also you can see a small video where Hans von Blumenstock says “Life is like a full bottle, just drink it… and…. that is”. O_o
I don’t like Cola, but they say that Lidl Freeway Cola is really similar taste to the original, at least I hear it in Spain. Do you have some experience about it?

Kiitos for the link.
It’s already like 50 people who have arrived here through Google searching for Hans von Blumenstock.
The TV spot it seems it’s inspired by this Nike Air Commercial with Michael Jordan http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_BB7kUUKVN0
Disrespect me, tell me I’m older, tell me I’m slower, tell me I can no longer fly
“I WANT YOU TO!”

Jajajaja, pues a mí estos anuncios casposos de bajo presupuesto y con referencias obvias a otros “glamourosos” me parecen los mejores.
Saludos

This commercial is of course a joke and not meant to be taken serioisly. This is not the first time Lidl makes parody from other commercials here in Finland. By the way, this “Hans” is a finnish basketballer, below a link to story (in finnish)

As I am from Germany I have never seen Lidl making any funstuff for advertising their products. Just lame and dull.
But it seems here in Finnland they have found a way…bad german slanged english, hilarious basketball player…at least they try

I think Lidl are definitely trying to create a sort of “hype character” here. Something that sticks in people’s minds, especially teenagers who think it’s funny. I am already dreading the Hans von Blumenstock ringtones and backgrounds, and all that sort of stuff that might come from this.
Pretty smart move by Lidl.

“So bad commercial that I don’t know whether to laugh or cry.” Just laugh, ’cause this ad is just parody. And what’s the best it’s very clever irony. You either understand it or not.
My opinion about the ad is here (in Finnish)

Maybe you miss the point. The guy is trying to be like Michael Jordan etc., but he looks like some German or Dutch porn star from 1970’s. The slogans, too, are a cheap copy of the originals, just Like Lidl’s cola.
This commercial has a great sense of irony. I like it very much, and others seem to like it too, so maybe this ad campaign is a work of a genius. It seems Hans is already going viral among the teenagers.

The fact is that the commercial stays in your head, no matter if you like it or not, half if the people like it the other half hates it, but everyone remembers it = perfect commercial

En México lo que no hay son marcas originales, todas son copiadas, no veas el escándalo que se montó por unos vídeos electorales copiados.
