Scam! Rhofox Abogados Lawyers

Tuesday December 17th, 2013. 02:18 PM. [Uncategorized]. 11 Comments.

Warning.

This type of scam is typical to receive by email. But I was surprised to receive this by traditional post (to my Finnish address). The letter is from Rhofox Abogados (Toby Fellman) and he tries to convince me that I was the only beneficiary of a Spanish inheritance from some distant (and unknown) relative in Spain that has passed away.

More information here

I’m posting this online, just in case people is searching about these scammers.

Atentamente,
José López

Yesterday my father received a similar letter, also by the regular mail. The content was a copy-paste to the letter from Finland, except the family name of the deceased “millionaire” that was changed. The frauds are picking the elderly that have no experience with the spam coming from Nigeria or elsewhere.
Be cautious and use the common sense when facing this problem.

and a great opportunity for us to make it big. My name is Barr. Toby
Fellman I am the personal lawyer to Engr. John T.Soriano who died in
a car accident along with his family here, and now the Bank where my
late client Engr. John T.Soriano saved about ($6.800.000) is asking
me as his lawyer to present the relative of my client who they can
transfer the money to along with other properties of the deceased.

that i will direct you on how we can get the money transferred into your

Hi, thank you all for sharing this.
As I got the email, I knew right away it was a scam, so I googled to see experiences with person behind the name from the email.

I got the same email content (except the name of the deceased) as “sanis” and few others on this page.
I’d like to mention that the guy or whoever that is, is probably using Facebook to send emails because FB redirects mails onto your personal emails left while registering.
